

Deborah I. Fitzer, age 63 passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Doctors West Hospital. Deborah was born on December 14, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to John M. and Lois (Batteiger) Fitzer. She graduated from West High School Class of 1972 then received her Bachelors of Arts in Music Education and Performance from The Ohio State University School of Music in 1977. Deborah later attended Columbus State to earn her Associates in Nursing in 1991 then continuing on to Franklin University to earn her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2001. Deborah cared for others as an Oncology Nurse at Grant Hospital and most recently at CSL Plasma retiring in 2017. Deborah had a love of music and was a member of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra as a violinist from 1975 - 1985. She also enjoyed quilting with her mother. Preceded in death by her father, John Mack Fitzer. Survived by her loving and devoted mother, Lois Jeannine (Batteiger) Fitzer; sister, Michelle J. (Danny) Stowe of Mechanicsburg; nieces, Abigail L. (Nathan) Scott of Wisconsin and Emma J. (Whittney) Bryson of Union; nephew, Nathan T. (Kimberlee) Stowe of Canal Winchester; great nieces and nephews, Claire E. Stowe, Nora J. Scott, Eli T. Stowe and Ezra A. M. Scott; Aunt, Irene (William) Stevison of West Chester; as well as numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the HOPE and HEART FUNERAL HOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W.
