Deborah Regina Hodges

Deborah R. Hodges, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. She was born on June 6, 1952 in Beckley, WV. Debbie graduated in 1970 from Charleston Catholic High School and attended Virginia Tech. She was involved in breeding, showing, and training Keeshonden for over 45 years. Debbie served as a Former President and Board Member of the Keeshond Club of America, Former President and Board Member of the Buckeye Keeshond Club, and Former President and instructor of the Columbus All-Breed Training Club. Debbie also enjoyed reading, gardening, crafting, and shopping. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, L. Robin Hodges; mother, Betty Smith and father, Joe F. Smith (former Mayor of Charleston, WV). She is survived by her brother, Thomas Smith and many dear friends. Visitation will be 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus, OH 43232, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Mountain View Memorial Park in Charleston, WV.
