

A funeral service for Debra S. Ooten, 42 of Newark, will be held on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with Bishop Allen Jefferies officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Debra was born in Marion, Indiana on July 14, 1967 to the late Dale W. Neeley, Sr. and Audrey (Warner) Neeley of Newark. She passed away at her residence on June 2, 2010 while surrounded by her family.
Debra was a member of New Testament Church in Newark. She was a devoted homemaker and was currently pursuing her degree in education at The Ohio State University. She enjoyed riding with her husband, Wally on the back of their Harley Davidson. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Wallace R. Ooten, whom she married on September 18, 1985; three daughters, Rachel Runyon of Newark, Raylene (Jeff) Riggle of Jacksonville, NC and Audra (Gregory) Ooten of Jacksonville, NC; four grandchildren, David Runyon, Aubriana Runyon, Derrick Runyon and David Riggle; one brother, Pastor Rick L. Sparrow; three sisters, Marilyn (Randy) Bullard of Marion, IN, Connie Sparrow of Newark and Audrenea (Randy) Mitchell of Newark; and numerous half brothers, half sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by one brother, Dale W. Neeley, Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Debra to New Testament Church or to Heartland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
