Debra Kay Thompson, age 70, passed away peacefully in the arms of her daughter on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Debra was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 28, 1953 to the late George Earl Caldwell and Dorothy Thompson Brown. Debra was a homemaker and loved hanging out with her family and grandbabies. She enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee. She loved her sweets which included Snickers. When Debra went out she valued being dressed up and doing her hair and make-up. She was very outgoing and sweet. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Dorothy; brother, Donny Caldwell; and sister, Tammy Manning-Hoy. Survived by her daughter, Linda (Dennis) Slaughter; grandchildren, Allyssa Norris (Alvin Martin) and Steven Norris; great-grandchildren, Paisley, Nevaeh and Kingsley; sister, Tina (James) Klausman; brothers, Danny Caldwell and George “Butch”(Dee) Caldwell Jr.; friend, Jennifer; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Advantage by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 where funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 16, 2024 with interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
