Delbert G. Cowman

Delbert was employed at David Davies Meat Packing Company from 1933-1988. He married Anna Ferneau in December 1933. To this union were born three children, William (Betty), Robert (Nancy), and Ann (Richard). Also survived by 6 grandchildren, Tracy Valentine, William and Craig Cowman, Chris (Cowman) Swanson, Cathy (Cowman) Ventresca, and Dana Edwards; great-grandchildren, Jackie and Chelsea Valentine, Alexandria, Amanda, and Antonio Ventresca, Jasmin, Jessica, and Drew Swanson; and great-great- grandson, Sebastian Johnson.

Upon Anna’s passing, Delbert married Bernice Norris in 1970. To this union, Delbert leaves step-children, Richard (Audene) Norris, David Norris (deceased); step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Richard, Randy, Rusty, Shelley, Tammie, and Jennifer Norris. Bernice passed in 2010. Also preceded in death by his dear great-grandson, Baylor Cowman.

Delbert was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenfield for over 90 years. Life member of Scioto Country Club, and F & AM, Greenfield. Scottish Rite member for 70 years and Aladdin Shrine. Delbert’s family extends their deepest gratitude to the extraordinary staff at The Forum at Knightsbridge.

Family will receive friends Friday, January 13, 2012 from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, Rev. Tracy R. Keenan, pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, officiating. Inurnment in Greenfield Cemetery at a later date.
