

A Celebration of Life Service for Deloris Foster will be held Saturday May 5, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Michael Noble officiating. Burial will be at Wilson Cemetery.
Deloris was born on October 23, 1955 in Minter, Alabama to Ernest Lee and Dorothy (Henderson) Foster. She went home to be with her lord on Wednesday April 25, 2012 at Grant Medical Center. She was 56.
She is preceded in death by her father Ernest Lee Foster and her brother Ernest Lee Foster Jr. and her grandparents.
Deloris is survived by her daughters Felicia Y and Dallas S. Scott; grandchildren A-Daya Holman, Melek Holman, and Nahkiah Young; mother Dorothy Foster of Detroit, sisters Ernestine (Clyde) McBride of Southfield, MI., Doris Ann (Tony) Pettaway of Detroit, and Barbara Dean of Mississippi. Brothers Leo Stallworth of Detroit, David Lee Foster of Newark, and Derrick Moore of Montgomery, Alabama; aunts Emily Watts of Selma, Alabama, Lucille (James) Brown of Columbus, uncles Jeff (Annie) Henderson of Newark and Emanuel (Lillian) Henderson of Selma, Alabama, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends, including her special friend Pearlmae Moore and cousin Darlene Haile.
Deloris loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She worked to help many people as a teacher and nurses’ aide at LEADS and Sterling House. She rededicated herself at Shiloh Church, where she enjoyed bible study, and loved to walk. She also enjoyed afternoon TV, whether it was the Young and the Restless, Bold and the Beautiful, or any of the TV Judges.
Friends may call from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Saturday at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, where services will be held at 10:00 AM. Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Service in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made to the family c/o the church
