Dermott John Dillon

John Dillon, age 76, formerly of Clintonville, passed away May 25, 2014 after a long history of COPD and congestive heart failure. John was born on May 31, 1937 in New York, NY to the late Dermot and Marion (Boughton) Dillon. He was a member of the General Henry H. Arnold Masonic Lodge #791 in Rosamond, CA and Al Mahaikah Shrine, Los Angeles, CA; Elks Club, Mojave Lodge #2059 in Mojave, CA, and a life member of the VFW. John retired from the Air Force in 1976 and from Northrop Grumman in 1997. He and his wife, Marge, have enjoyed traveling our great country as full-time RVers ever since. John is survived by his wife, Marge, of 49 years and his children, Greg, Douglas (Cathy) Dillon, and Merri (Joseph) LeBlanc as well as grandchildren, Ashley, Andrea, Jeffery, Patrick, JohnJoseph, and Elizabeth; brother, Noel (Barbara) Dillon. Family will receive friends 10 am to 11:00 am Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. John will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45229.
