Diana was a special spirit.  I've never known such a petite little gal to walk so fast.  I could identify her walk anywhere in the pharmacy.  I loved her smile, her laugh, her love of living, and most of all, her beautiful, kind spirit.  When I was sick, she sent me a card and has checked on me often.  I'm sure she was that kind to everyone, as that's just her.  What a precious lady!  So privileged to know her.  And Jesus is happy to be walking in Heaven with her now.  Find great comfort in HIS arms.  She's sick no more!

Diana and I were married for 48 years and ten months - our 49th Anniversary is November 18th. We dated for almost two years, so this fabulous lady and I were together for 51 years. I cannot possibly relate what those years were like except to say she was my wife, my lover, the mother and grandmother of our children, and my best friend. I made her laugh and she made me laugh, and we persevered through some terrible things without every having a fight, and perhaps three or four occasions of raised voices.

After Diana left us, my youngest son was sorting through some of her special things and found a poem I wrote for her almost 30 years ago, carefully preserved. I had forgotten it, but here it is:

Diana
Diana - 	
	a name whispered in the dark,
	a touch of fingertips to an anticipating heart,
	the roll and peal of passionate thunder,
	the whisper of gentle rain on new-born grass.

Diana –
	a word meaning all things to one lonely man,
	an answer to a lifetimes search,
	a waiting with bated breath for a tender caress,
	a yearning for close softness.

Diana –
	I love her, and always will.
