It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diane Paula (Hlubb) Kraft, a loving mother, remarkable woman, and a spirited soul (a bit crazy) whose personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Diane passed away peacefully on the morning of April 3, 2026, at the age of 88.
Diane was born on May 7, 1937, to Anita and Paul F. Hlubb in the City of Baltimore, Maryland—a city she carried with her in both pride and spirit throughout her life. A true Baltimorean through and through, Diane was a fiercely loyal and lifelong Baltimore Orioles fan. Her love for the Orioles was more than a pastime; it was a passion. Win or lose, season after season, Diane proudly cheered on her team, shared game commentary, and bled orange and black until the very end.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John “Jack” C. Kraft, who passed away on November 5th 2012.
Diane and Jack met in 1958 while serving in the Ground Observer Corps. After a two-year courtship, they were married on June 4, 1960, beginning a life together grounded in commitment, family, and enduring love.
Diane was a devoted mother to six children. She is survived by four of them: Mark (Juanita), Glenn (Susan), Scott, and Lynn (Todd). She was preceded in death by her son John Paul (1970) and her daughter Dawn Paula (1974), both of whom she held forever in her heart.
She leaves behind a cherished legacy in her eight grandchildren—Michelle, Brittany, Travis, Stephen, Erin, Katie, Rebecca, and Mia—and four great-grandchildren, Conrad, Theodore, Callum, and Natalie who brought her immense joy and pride.
She is also survived by her brother, Paul F. Hlubb Jr.
Diane will be remembered for her strength, her deep love of family, her unmistakable character, her enduring pride in the City of Baltimore, and her unwavering loyalty to the Baltimore Orioles. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
The Memorial will be held at Mark Kraft’s house, 5960 Hildenboro Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017 on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 1:00-4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s memory may be made to the American Stroke Association to support stroke research and education. Please visit www.schoedinger.com to share memories and condolences. Funeral arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST.
