"Dick" Sharp

Harry Richard “Dick” Sharp, age 81, of Gahanna, Ohio. Died Tuesday March 22, 2011 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. If you knew Dick at all, you knew he was kind, compassionate and loving. He was a beloved husband to Beverly for 57 years. Also beloved father to Tim (Kathi) Sharp, grandfather of Kara Sharp, brother to Jim Sharp and uncle and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his sister Lois Ann. Dick was born December 11, 1929 in Sugar grove, Ohio. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Dick married Beverly Ann Dudgeon, March 20, 1954. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1958 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He retired from Avionics Division of Rockwell International in 1989. Dick enjoyed golfing with friends, spending winters in Whispering Sound of Palm City, Florida and the rest of the year in Ohio. Dick was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Palm City Fl. The family will have a private service. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. P.O.
