Donald Lee Boyd

Donald L. Boyd, age 84 of New Albany, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013. Don was born in Coshocton County, Ohio and spent a large portion of his life in Newark, Ohio, son of the late Verl and Fern Boyd. Also preceded in death by his son, Richard L. Boyd, brothers-in-law, Bob Kraft and Jack Delong, and sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Paul Uhrig. Don served in the US Army during WWII. Don retired from Equifax with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of New Albany and The Order of United Commercial Travelers of America (U.C.T.). He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 64 years, Colleen Taylor Boyd; children, Kevin (Karen) Boyd and Kathleen Nelson; sisters, Joan Kraft, Dorothy Turdo, and Karen (Rocky) Richardson; brother, Dick (Patti) Boyd; sister-in-law, Anna Kathryn Delong; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and close friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 4-7 P.M. Tuesday.
