Donald P. Chandler

Donald P. Chandler, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 under the care of Wesley Glen Retirement Community. Don was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 9, 1945 to the late William and Geraldine Unrue Chandler. A loving dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and son-In-law; he will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by sons, Jeremy (Cristina) and Justin (Kandice) Chandler; his grandchildren William and Claire Chandler; brothers: Ron (Nancy) Chandler and Dick (Peg) Chandler; nieces and nephews: Rick Chandler, Teri Bushong, Barbie Corbett and Ron Chandler, Jr., and their families; his mother in law, Dolores Hendrix. He joins his loving wife, Barbara Chandler.

A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Don was an avid Buckeye Fan. He retired from the State of Ohio as a Social Worker for the Department of Youth Services, after many years of dedicated service.

Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at, 10am, Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 20 E Dominion Blvd, Columbus, OH 43214. Father Kevin Kavanagh, Celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
