Donald Edward Gottshall

Donald E. Gottshall, age 87 of Columbus, passed away February 9, 2017. Donald was born November 28, 1929 in Alliance, Ohio and was a graduate from both Alliance High School and The Ohio State University. He served in the U.S. Army infantry during the Korean War as a 1st Lieutenant and received the Bronze Star for valor. He retired from General Motors Corp., in 1991 after 33 ½ years of service. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Urias and Eva Gottshall, sisters, Kathryn Bensen and Ruth Ann Mathias, and nieces, Karen Siebold and Gretchen Wilke. Survived by nephew, Eric (Chesley) Bensen; niece, Regina Mathias; and other extended family and dear friends. Per Donald's request, no public services will be held. Private inurnment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Alliance, Ohio. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL.
