To Donald Hitons Family,

Dear Vicky, Doana and Eddie, 
We were all so sad when we learned of Don’s passing.  Ken and Belva had lost track of what is going on with the Hinton’s after Merle had passed. Our family always enjoyed the trips to Grove City and Don was always such a wonderful host. He loved all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and it is such a loss that they will not have him to turn to as they are growing up. While we are awaiting the foretold resurrection, which will be a very joyful time, we can find comfort in the words we read in the Holy Bible.  We can look at what Jesus Christ said at John 5:28-30 when He said that all in the graves “shall hear his voice” and be resurrected. As we are waiting what was recorded at Second Corinthians 1:3,4 where we are told that we will be comforted by God himself. He is called “The Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.” KJV. The resurrection will be so wonderful and such a happy time.

I'm sorry for the loss to your family. Ed There is nothing anyone can say or do to ease the pain, but take comfort in knowing that he is in a much better place, and with your mom again. You will always have the memories and talks to remember him by. And like you said, the talks and your relationship you had the past few years was the most important. Things were said, and lessons taught that you were ready to listen too. I can't imagine the pain your feeling, but because you have always been my brother from a different mother, :) I'm here for you and always have loved being around you and your family. Your parents always made me feel welcomed when I was in their home. One of the best memories I have is them allowing me to ride down with them to see you graduate from the Army.  I'll never forget the look of pride on your dads face and how much he loved you. I'm sure you will continue to make him proud, because after all, you are apart of him and he raised you to be the man you are today. So even in your times of sorrow, remember he will continue to always be with you in your heart. Hugsss, prayers and love sent your way.

There are a million things I will always remember about my dad. From him getting so excited, during a Little Leauge Baseball game that he knocked me to the ground while I was running to home, to his family pictures (where someones head was always missing). But I think the things I will always remember most are his stories and our talks over the last few years. What I wouldn't give right now to hear him talk about hitch hiking to Circleville to watch a movie or hear him talk about playing Basketball during his high School days. Yet in the last few years we seemed to have connected in a way that I took for granted, as a younger man. We spoke about life, about Mom and our family. We spoke about mistakes (Most of them mine). We spoke about wrong choices and wrong reasons for things that I had done and I promised to him that I had learned from these mistakes. Dad had a way of saying things that always seemd true. And to find answers to almost any problem that came along. And in the last few years, I had heard from my dad words that I either didn't hear, or didn't pay attention to as a younger man, the words "I Love You" were spoken by us both everytime we talked. I couldn't say goodbye in person without a goodbye hug, kiss and I love you. We couldn't end a phone call without saying I love you to each other at the end of the call. I never realized how much that meant to me, until now, when he is gone.  The last time I sat and talked to my dad in person, I remember him saying that I just had to "hang in there" and keep my head up. Dad, I want you to know that I will. My head is up and I will hang in there, for you. That after all is the least I can do for someone that has always meant so much to me.  I Love you dad. Thank you for love me too.
