Donald Glen Jackson

Donald G. Jackson, age 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 05, 2015 at home. Donald was born in Grove City on April 6, 1938 to the late William G. Jackson and Thelma (Gilliam) Jackson-McKenzie. He attended Hilliard High School and was drafted in the US Army and proudly served our country. He retired from Top Cat Trucking. He attended Heritage Free Will Baptist Church. Donald enjoyed bluegrass music, golfing, fishing and hunting with his wife Joan. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 45 years, Joan Jackson; and sister, Janette Erwin. Survived by children, Georgia (Steve) Pease, Jeffery (Cynthia) Jackson, and Thelma Blanton; grandchildren, Amber, Michael, Justin, Courtney, Joshua, Rachel, Madeline, and Dallas; great-grandsons, Collin, Cameron, and Christian; sisters, Janice Johnson and Barbara Castle; many other extended relatives. His family will receive friends 12 noon until 1:00 pm at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Broad St. where funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, November 9, 2015 with Pastor Tim Stout officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
