Donald Eugene "Donnie" Siegel

A funeral service for Donald Eugene “Donnie” Siegle, age 58, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, at Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Donnie was born May 14, 1955 in Newark, Ohio to George Donald “Don” Siegle and Dorothy (Hoadley) Bishoff, both of Newark. He passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Donnie was a 1973 graduate of Newark High School. He had been a forklift operator for Holly’s Custom Print in Hebron. Donnie was a family man and enjoyed deer hunting and collecting junk. He was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 38 years, Charlene N. (Marmie) Siegle, whom he married March 30, 1975; and by four children, Kimberly S. Siegle, Brian K. Siegle, Brandy (Todd) Ware and Jodi R. Siegle, all of Newark; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Clyde E. Marmie of Newark; aunts, cousins and many friends; and his faithful companion, his Black Lab, Christmas.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George A. and Pearl “Jackie” (Barrick) Siegle, the wonderful people who helped raise Donnie.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, November 11, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.
