

Donald David Weaver, age 79, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He delivered the Dispatch when he was growing up. He served two years in the Army during the Korean War. A longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 683. He was an electrician for several years where he worked on many important buildings in Ohio. He was an avid OSU Buckeye Fan and had been an usher at the OSU Football Games. He was born to the late John and Rose (Kempf) Weaver on August 1, 1931. He was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth (Bud) and James Weaver; sisters, Mildred Clifford, Ruth Wylie, Phyllis Holt and Carol Preston. Survived by son, Gary (Nancy) Weaver of Obetz; daughter, Sheree “Darlene” Weaver of Columbus; brother, Jack Weaver of Columbus; sister, Margaret “Peggy” Moore of Grove City; several nieces and nephews; and his very loving dog, McKenzie. A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 7:00PM at Obetz Christian Church, 4501 Groveport Rd., Columbus, 43207. Pastor Tom Fowler officiating.
