Donna J. Beavers

Donna J. Beavers (Lanning), age 77, of Orient, Ohio, February 5, 1938 - February 14, 2015. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Ray E. Beavers; daughter, Patricia Ann; parents, David and Edna (Boling) Lanning; brothers, David and Donald, and sister, Jackie. Donna is survived by 3 children, Kevin (Rhonda), Debbie Grabill and Renee (Danny) Brusk, sisters, Doris, Mildred and Deema; sisters-in-law, Donna (Howard) Kunder and Linda Beavers; brother-in-law Leonard Fredrick; 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Donna was a life-long farm wife and a cook with Southwest City Schools for 22 years. She had been an active member of the Grange as well as the Community Men's Club/Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a Girl Scout advisor and loved gardening and canning. She and Ray enjoyed euchre, square dancing, and special family gatherings. She will be sadly missed by family, friends, and all who knew her. Family will receive friends 2-8pm Thursday, February 19, 2015 and 12-1pm Friday, February 20, 2015 at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Gove City, OH 43123, where a service will be held at 1pm Friday; Interment will follow in Beckett Cemetery, Commercial Point; Pastor Daniel Reese, officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assn.
