Donna Lee Schmidt

Donna L. Schmidt, age 62 passed away suddenly and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lois Schmidt; aunts and uncles, Dorothy and Charles Reynolds, Elinor and Richard Fravel, Ruth and Paul Weber and Frederick Grabill. Donna is survived by her sister, Cathy Schmidt (Lancaster, OH); cousin, Dennis (Vicky) Fravel, (Westerville), Joe and Ellen Weber (Canal Winchester), Mike Weber and Linda (Bill) Populin of Seattle. Donna had many friends and neighbors who gave her life much quality, independence, and joy. Donna was a longtime active member of her church whose members were an important extended family. She took great pleasure in her work with the staff and residents at Kensington Place as well as her volunteer work in the Columbus Metro Parks for more than 15 years. Family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Redeemer Lutheran Church 1555 S. James Rd. Columbus, OH 43227. Vicar Scott Nellis will officiate and interment will be held privately at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Donna's memory to the Redeemer Lutheran Church or Metro Parks, 1069 W. Main St. Westerville, OH 43081.
