Doris A. Brasher

Doris Brasher, age 78, died May 16, 2010 at OSU East Hospital after a brief illness. She was born March 31, 1932 to Thomas and Carrie Hartgrove. Doris was awarded a BA in Education from The Ohio State University and a MA in Social Work from the University of Michigan. She was a teacher and Air Force wife for many years before becoming an administrator for Franklin County and then the State of Ohio. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and the Epicureans. She enjoyed traveling, card games, and movies. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James H. Brasher; and step grandchild, Michael Favours. Doris is survived by her step children, Larry (Linda) Brasher, Glen (Phyllis) Brasher, and Sheila Favours; and step grandchildren, Larry Brasher Jr, Tiara Brasher, Leanna Brasher, and Anika Henson; and special friend, Norval Walls. A remembrance service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 11 am. The family will receive friends at 10 am until the time of service at Schoedinger Midtown Chapel, 229 E.
