Dorothy R Butts

Dorothy R. Butts, age 86, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Columbus Colony in Westerville, Ohio. She was born October 5, 1928 to the late Archie and Minnie George in Columbus, Ohio. Dorothy was a member of North Park Church of Christ. She loved to spend her time in her garden attending and planting beautiful flowers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Butts, parents and siblings. Dorothy is survived by children, Ruth (David) Hunter, Richard (Karen) George, Dale Butts and Betty (David) Pierce; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. She also leaves behind special friends, Alice Applegate, Royce and Barbara Cheeseman. Family will receive friends Friday from 4-7pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, where a funeral service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery. Family wishes to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Mt. Carmel Hospice for their loving care of Dorothy. Donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice in her memory.
