Dorothy Marie Callicoat

Dorothy Marie Callicoat, age 88, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017. She was born October 23, 1928 in Belo, WV to the late Charles and Nancy (Mahon) McCann, and is also preceded in death by her husband, Emmet E. Callicoat; son-in-law, Jim Charles; granddaughter, Amy; and nine siblings. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Pam Charles, Vicki Margerum, and Brenda Callicoat; son, Buddy (Andrea) Callicoat; grandchildren, Gary, Debby, Jennifer (Robert), Ben, Jessica, Ryan, Emily, Jacob, Kelsey, Caleb, Cameron, and Kylie; great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Lauren, Avery, Trey, Matthew, Aurora, Blaine, Faith, and Bella; sisters, Minnie (Chuck) Rannebarger and Juanita McCann; brother, Artie McCann; special friends, Dempsey and Nila Fry; other extended family and friends. Dorothy was co-owner with her husband Emmett of the EandD Market in New Albany where she retired after serving the community for 27 years. She was a member of Cross Point Christian Church, 10659 Johnstown Road, New Albany, OH 43054 where friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 and 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wednesday prior to the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Pastor Cody Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to Cross Point Christian Church.
