Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and moved to Chicago with Anthony Peters in 1959, with Teresa in her stomach. Lived the past 15 years in Columbus, Ohio. A dedicated mother of five kids, later raised three of her grandkids: David, Meosha and Teresa Peters.

Dot was loved by everyone who knows her, they all called her Mom. She was a hard working woman. She worked as a security guard for AT&T, the Howard SH Laundromat, volunteered at the Good News Church Soup Kitchen and Thrift Store. Dot loved yard sales, Thrift stores, family get-togethers, cook-outs, and big Sunday morning breakfasts.
