Dorothy E. Shaw

Dorothy Shaw, age 92 of Gahanna, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2011, in Columbus. She is survived by daughters, Pamela Hicks and partner, Paul Hensarling, Patricia Lewis and husband, Harold, Cynthia Shaw; granddaughters, Jennifer Zeff and husband, Suther, and Amanda Sowards and fiancé, Beau Moore; and son-in-law, Howard Zeff. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leighton Shaw of Springfield, her brother, Robert Drake, and her sister, Earnestine Osborne. Dorothy will be remembered for her civic and church involvement as well as her devotion to volunteer work. For the last few years she has especially enjoyed making homemade cookies for Faith Mission, cooking for the Firemen’s Dinners, and working in the gardens at Stygler Village. Dorothy will be remembered for her impenetrable spirit and love of people and her community. Her family celebrates as she takes her next journey with God. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 P.M.
