Dorothy Juanita Sparks

Dorothy Juanita Sparks, age 91, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. She was born in Haydenville, Ohio on May 16, 1923 to the late Leroy and Goldie Pierce. She was the Director of Christian Education at Broad Street Christian Church and retired from Nationwide Insurance after many years of dedicated service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas D. Sparks; and brother, Roland Pierce. Dorothy is survived by her children, Jacqueline D. (Sandy Brungardt) Sparks, Bette Ann (Michael) Robinson, Jodelle D. Sparks, and Douglas D. (Renea) Sparks II; grandchildren, Sonciary (Kevin) Honnoll, Joshua (Sarah Bailey) Robinson, Brandon (Megan) Robinson, Sierra Perez-Sparks, and Katie Partin; great granddaughters, Emily Marie and Natalie Elyse Robinson; brother, Gene (Donna) Pierce; sister, Billie (Jim) Fulton; and sister in-law, Charlene Pierce. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 11:00AM at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio. Dorothy will be laid to rest privately at Kingwood Memorial Park in Lewis Center, Ohio at a later date.
