

Duncan A Kirk, beloved father and grandfather, passed away on June 7, 2016 at The Kobacker House, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on July 22, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late William and Margaret Kirk. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Irene. Duncan is survived by his beloved children, Debbie Kirk Maynard and Scott (Kim) Kirk; loving grandchildren, Brooke (Nick) Maynard Linz, Heather (Nick) Maynard Wunder, and Tiffany, Cameron and Mackenzie Kirk and treasured great-grandchildren; Marlow and Axel Linz, Sloane and Duncan Wunder; his sister, Margaret Zurc; sister-in-law, Doris Vargo along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were blessed to know him. Duncan loved gardening, photography, traveling, laughing and most of all spending time with family and friends. His smile, wit and generosity touched the lives of many and most of all, he maintained his amazing sense of humor even in the face of adversity.
Duncan served with the U.S. Navy in WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He retired from White-Westinghouse after 30 yrs. Duncan volunteered for many years with Fore Hope Organization - a non-profit charity.
Visitation will be at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus Ohio, 43221 from 2-5pm on Sunday, June 12, 2016. Funeral service will be held Monday, June 13 at 10am at Scioto Ridge Methodist Church, 4343 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, Ohio with burial to follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 3225 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, Ohio. Donations in Duncan's honor may be made to The Kobacker House, Columbus, Ohio; Fore Hope or the Kidney Foundation.
