Dustin and I roomed together at the College of Wooster our Freshman year. Though we were quite opposite aside from basketball, by the time I graduated we had become very good friends. He was salt of the earth to use an old phrase. True blue. All these years later it still hurts that he’s gone. So unnecessarily. Love to Eddie who may remember me and all the Dobos family. RIP my friend. You are missed.

I was just checking out the bexley school website and came across Dustin's name on the Obituary page. My stomach almost dropped. I remember Dustin most from my days at Montrose Elementary School. Dustin, Eddie Hines, and myself used to play together. Good times in the summer, playing at each others houses, a real stand up guy. Dustin always had an infectious smile. I just looked at my framed picture I keep on my wall of a Cesa Picture of each team members caricature image with Dustin in it. Those were great times, no internet, no phones, just pals hanging out. Although we lost touch after I left Bexley,  he is one I never forgot. RIP my brother.

I really have no words for this. It doesn't seem real. I first met Dustin many years ago when he started dating Heather. Dustin always did his best to watch out for my friend Heather. I always had Dustin to talk to even when Heather was unreachable. I remember going to Dustin & Heather's going away party. At the end of the night I cried of course, because I knew my friends were moving so far away. Heather being silly trying to assure me that we will see each other soon & telling my brother that I was drunk & silly emotional to take me home. (lol) Dustin gave me a hug to comfort me & he said, "Ah, D (He always called me "D") Don't you worry my friend everything is going to be alright! I will take care of your friend! Heather is so lucky to have you & we will see you soon!" Dustin was such a loving & caring person & a great friend to have. I last saw Dustin when I picked him up in Ohio, on his last trip home for a family wedding. We sat in my living room sharing stories of our lives as my kiddo, Alex romped around begging Dustin to play xbox with him. (lol) Dustin was so good with Alex. My son really took to him. Dustin would always give Alex a high five & had a hug for me. When we parted ways he gave me a big hug & said, "It's always good to see you my friend, if you ever need me I will always be there!" To Dustin, I will see you again my friend. We will all be together some day. I know when I see you, you will smile & say, "Hey D, it's always good to see you my friend." Until the day we meet again, much love. ♡♡ xx

I will always remember the good times we had in Waikiki.  You always had a smile and a positive attitude.  You were an awesome friend and you will truly be missed by all of us who knew you.  You're memory will live on and rock on forever brother.

I don't have words. We shared thousands of laughs, memories, songs and achievements. All those close to me know the important role you have played in my life. I love you and I'm glad you knew it. See you at home brother.

I will miss my friend and even though we didn't talk regularly, it was always a pleasure when we did. I remember so many evenings where we would be at Arnold's tiki bar talking story while he watched the door. He would break out his guitar and we would make up songs on the fly...   God's blessings over your family and your soul, I will miss you my friend.

I have recently been remembering the happy times. The beautiful days that I will always have. Remembering way back to a day at Waikiki beach when I was taking him out for a day to surf at Waikiki. Perfect place for a first time out on the waves. Our epic hikes, the informal jam sessions and his love and support through my personal trials aa well as victories. And I remember all the victories we all shared together in the band. He is a precious light in my life, of the best moments in my life and he was there for all of them. He was there at my wedding, a beautiful day when we were looking forward to another big concert at the Republik. Perfect day. I got to thank you for making it happen moments before I said I do. Prefect days. Days in the sun sailing, and late at night being at the epicenter of the party in Waikiki time after time. He made life complete with all of us. I love you. Forever grateful!  Soar with the angels brother! Love you forever!

Dustin never had a bad thing to say about anyone, always had a smile on his face, and was filled with light and love. The world is dimmer without him in it. He had a beautiful soul and will truly be missed by all that knew him. Fly high with the angels, my friend. Keep playing beautiful music in heaven, so the other angels can be blessed with your talent.

I didn't know Dustin well, but I am a fan of his band, The White Jacket. Dustin always struck me as being very intelligent and had a love for nature and spirituality that was inspiring. I pray for his family's comfort and peace. Rest in love, Dustin.
