

February 19, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New
Martinsville, West Virginia and graduated from Magnolia High School. Earl served
in the Army Signal Corps and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from
Bell Labs after many years of dedicated service. For many years he operated HAM
radio and belonged to MARS affiliate. He was a member and also served as a past
Master of the Reynoldsburg Masonic Lodge 340. Earl shared more than 59 loving
years of marriage with his wife, Margaret F. Ruble (Paxton). He was a
resourceful man, honest, fair, and wise. A beloved husband, father, grandfather,
and great grandfather. His smiles, stories, and endearing nicknames will never
be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Delphia Ruble;
and four siblings. In addition to his wife he is survived by his granddaughters,
Tori (Wally) Cohn, Julie (Jim) Altomonte, and Meagen (Trent) Howell; great
grandchildren, Tobey, Maggie, Ollie, Zion, and Wesley; son, Douglas Ruble; and
sister, Betty Shackelford. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February
24, 2014 at 7:00PM with visitation one hour prior at the SCHOEDINGER EAST
CHAPEL, 5360 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio. Dr. George E. Winters
officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions in Earl's memory may be made to
the Alzheimer's Association.
