

Earline Ruffner Rytel, age 91, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Friends Care Community in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Earline was born in Wichita Falls, TX on July 31, 1919; she was the daughter of the late Earl and Muriel Ruffner. Earline was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ted Rytel; and sisters, JoDell Hirsch and Helen Beth Hutson. She is survived by her loving and devoted sons, Ted (Sue) Rytel of Fairborn, Ohio, Richard Rytel of Columbus, Ohio and Monte (Jenny) Rytel of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Alex and Adrienne; and sister, Doris Kent of Tyler, TX. Earline was co-owner of the Unicorn Antique Store, where she had a passion for antiquing, studying of Indian and Southwest artifacts, and collection of antiques, dolls, clothing, purses, toys and anything of beauty and interest. She was a devoted and proud wife, mother and grandmother. Earline was an accomplished artist, violinist and actress. She was an ardent student of the art, styles and culture of all earlier times and places. Earline was also past president of the Olentangy Valley Doll Club. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 18, 2011 from 4-7pm at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221; where a memorial service will take place on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 10am.
