Earnest E. Turner

Earnest Eugene Turner Sr., age 57, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on December 14th, 2020. He was born on June 20th, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the youngest son of Earnestine Turner Canty and the late Lessley J. Turner, Sr.

Earnest was a self-taught, hardworking man. He was passionate about repairing cars, small engines, and many other household repairs. Earnest cared deeply for his loved ones and demonstrated his love through service. He became like an uncle to every kid he has ever met and helped countless neighbors in any way he could, without question. Regardless of his station in life, he would always return home to be with his mother. He enjoyed a good drink, hanging out with his friends, playing cards, listening to all kinds of music, and spending time with his family in Alabama, Cleveland, and Georgia. He loved deeply, loved hard, and lived by two core values: loyalty and respect.

Earnest was preceded in death Father Lessley J. Turner, Sr; maternal grandmother Jessie Barnes, and paternal grandmother Nettie Mae Dobbin.

Earnest leaves the following people to cherish his memory:

Mother Earnestine Turner Canty, Son Earnest Eugene Turner, Jr; Siblings Lessley J. Turner, Jr; Michael Turner, Nettie Valentine (Turner), and Samantha Carter (Avery), and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and close friends.

Due to COVID-19, there will be a private Celebration of Life ceremony held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heart and Hope by Schoedinger- Liden Memorial Location.
