Eddie Collier age 85, passed away on Wednesday November 14, 2018. A native of Columbus, Ohio where he was a product of Columbus Public School system attending Felton Mt.Vernon, Pilgrim and East High School. U.S. Navy Veteran serving aboard the USS Roanoke CC145, USS Waldo County LST 1163, USS Worland PCE 845, and National Guard. Retired employee from ABEX Deninson Eng and DeVry Institute of Technology. Life long member of Trinity Baptist Church; also a member of Denison Old Timer’s Club, F.O.P.A, American Legion Post 144, VFW and U.S. Navy Cruiser Sailors Association. Preceded in death by wife, Helena Collier; son, Les Collier; Parents, Luther and Ada (Hill) Collier; Survived by children, DeMaria Harris, Mark Collier, Deborah Sneed, Brian Collier, Morris Shelton, James Shelton and Vaughn Shelton; sister, Theola Williams; special friend of the family, Jaclene Boyd; 18 Grandchildren; 24 Great- Grandchildren, 1 niece;1 nephew; a host of other relative and friends. Celebration of Life Service Friday November 23, 2018 11am, Trinity Baptist Church 461 St. Clair Avenue, where the family will receive friends 10am until time of service.
