

Edith Irene Lehnert, age 93, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010. She was born in Beverly, Ohio, and was a graduate of Beverly High School. Edith was a selfless person, always making sure those around her were taken care of and loved. She was a longtime member of Maize Manor United Methodist Church where she was involved in Alter Guild and many other groups. She was very creative and enjoyed making crafts, and she was able to play any song by ear on the piano and organ. She was very active her whole life, and she enjoyed ballroom dancing. She was a member of the Worthington Moose Lodge for many years. She was a wonderful cook, and she was known as “Aunt Edie” to family and friends alike. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Joseph Lehnert; children, William Burgoon and Phyllis Kincaid Robison; and siblings, Cecil Matthew, John Matthew, Stella Matthew Lehnert, and Katherine Matthew Riffle. She is survived by her children, Frances (Dale) Pittman, James A. (Betty) Lehnert, and Edward (Jane) Lehnert; brother, David C. Matthew; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, December 26, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Maize Manor United Methodist Church, 3901 Maize Road, Columbus, where family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Rev.
