Edna Malinda Johnston

Edna M. Johnston, age 97, passed away May 28, 2010 at her home. She was born May 8, 1913 in Columbus, Ohio to Emil and Margaret VonDach. She retired from the Xerox Corporation. Edna was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was always joyful and took great care of her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rex N. Johnston; and 7 older siblings. Edna is survived by her children, Walter R. Johnston of Grove City, Felix E. (Gloria) Johnston of Lancaster, and Linda Acierno of Columbus; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 9:30-11 am with a service immediately following at 11 am on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 404 S. Third St, Columbus, Ohio 43215. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger Midtown Chapel.
