Edna P. Rose, age 90, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at her home. She was born in Leburn, Kentucky on September 10, 1925 to Elhanon and Nanie B. (Smith) Pratt. Edna retired from the State of Ohio after 35 years of dedicated service. She was a member and officer of Rose Capital Chapter of American Business Women's Association and the Sewing Guild of Riverside Methodist Hospital. Edna was a longtime devoted member of Oakland Park United Methodist Church and currently attended Maize Manor United Methodist Church. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Al Rose and 9 brothers and sisters. Surviving are her loving daughter, Nanette McLane; granddaughter, Gillian (Mitch Shepherd) McLane; along with many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.
