

Ednamae “Edy” Plahuta passed away peacefully at the residence with her family at her side on February 24, 2012. She was born in Bellaire, Ohio to the late Olive and Edward Heatherington. Edy is also preceded in death by her loving husband and high school sweetheart of 65 years, F.P. “Bud” Plahuta, and a brother, William Heatherington.
She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and Women’s Club, U.A. Civic Association Life Member, former longtime Riverside Hospital Volunteer, and Creative Ladies Craft Club. She is survived by sons and daughters in-law, Thomas (Shelly) Plahuta of Nashville, TN, Michael (Meg) Plahuta, Stephen, and Jamie (Leslie) Plahuta all of Upper Arlington, Ohio. She is also survived by her daughters and sons in-law, Kathleen (Alan) Pudelski of Macedonia, Ohio, Patricia (Heath) Von Staden of Columbus, OH, and Cheryl (Robert) Farmer of Powell, OH; grandchildren, Kelly Kauffman, Kristen (Shan) Beyer, Stacy Pudelski, Jessica (Brad) Harkrider, Jacob Plahuta, Ryan Martin, Daniel (Jennifer) Plahuta, Patrick (Laura) Plahuta, Kendel, Chloe, Madison, Darby, and Trey Farmer, Joshua and Jack Plahuta, and Sarah, Haley, and Austin Plahuta; and great-grandchildren, Chad Kauffman, Dylan and Noah Pudelski, Jayde, Kendra and Dustin Martin, Andrew and Abigail Plahuta. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Lou (Tom) Sies of Bellaire, Ohio.
Mom will always be remembered for her smiling face and unselfishness. She loved being around her family, especially her seven children. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all. Family will receive friends Monday, February 27, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Rd., Columbus, Fr. Tyron Tomson, Celebrant. Entombment in Union Cemetery.
