

Edward Corbett- a loving husband and father, devoted grandfather, a quietly kind and generous neighbor and friend—died April 6th, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was 63. Born April 25, 1950 to the late Edward L. and Evelyn Corbett.
A Columbus native, he was a graduate of Whetstone High School and The Ohio State University. A long term employee of the City of Gahanna and later, for the City of Powell. Ed was an avid fan of Ohio State sports, a connoisseur of garage sales and a beloved baker of his well-known specialized cookies. He was a resident of Worthington Hills for nearly 40 years, and an active member of the Worthington Hills Country Club.
He is survived by his wife of more than 36 years, Adrienne; daughter Amanda, married to Brian Bowers; daughter Claire; two grandsons Brayden and Blake; sister Ellen Wensink, married to Bob Wensink; brother’s-in-law Michael Riley and his wife Gina, Dick Riley and his wife Marsha; sister-in-law Rosemary Riley and her husband Frank Darr; nieces Kaitlyn Darr, Beth Bressler and her husband David, Jessa Lowell; nephews Ian Riley-Clendenen, Michael Stephen Riley, Tom Wensink and his wife Jen; and many cousins. He is also survived by very special friends, Patty and Don Grey; along with many other long time cherished friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085, where family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Homeless Families Foundation, 33 N. Grubb Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215 in his memory.
