Edward Eugene Davis age 94, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Jan. 25, 2024. He was born on July 13, 1929 in Salem, WV to the late Gifford and Euphemia (McClary) Davis. Edward joins in death his parents, wife Naomi daughter Karen Davis and siblings Hayward Davis and Jetty Rowsey. Edward leaves behind his son Gene (Lisa) Davis; grandchildren Amanda, Joseph and Traci; great grandchildren Ayden, Payton, Kaylynn, Hunter, Beau and Brian. Son in law David Slaughter, and many nieces and nephews. Edward was a proud veteran of the US Navy and Air Force who served his country honorable in both WWII and the Korean War. He was especially proud to be part of the Columbus Honor Flight Mission 89 on June 9, 2018. Edward was a member of the American Legion Post 532 and he also enjoyed bowling and cheering on his Ohio State Buckeyes. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Edward’s name to the National Church Residence Columbus Hospice at 2245 N Bank Drive, Columbus, OH 43220.
