Ed was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nanette Martt; his parents, William and Alpha (Smith) Martt; and his loyal companion, Herbie the Wonder Dog.
He is survived by his dear friends Bobby and Jane Aspery, Jim Thompson, Beth and Wendall Wolford, Rob Aspery and children; and many other cherished friends who became like family throughout his life.
Ed was a man of many talents and passions. Mechanically inclined from an early age, he had a lifelong love of tinkering and problem-solving, which led to a successful career in HVAC and the ownership of his business, ES&R. He was also deeply artistic, expressing himself through his creativity in many forms.
A lover of the open road, Ed found great joy in riding motorcycles. Music was another cornerstone of his life—he loved playing the guitar and banjo and sharing that joy with others. He was also an avid collector, particularly of firearms, and took great pride in his collection.
Above all, Ed had a deep and abiding love for Jesus Christ, which guided his life and relationships.
Known for his warmth, and fun-loving spirit, Ed will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Ed is in the loving care of Schoedinger East.
