

Ed was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School and The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. Ed served in the U.S. Army as a pharmacist in the Army Hospital in Landstuhl, Germany. He was the proud owner and operator of Edwards Drugs and still has a location on Mt. Vernon Ave. in Columbus. Ed was a member of St. Agatha Church, the Ohio Pharmacy Association, and the Past President of Hilltop Civic Association.
Ed had a big personality, great sense of humor, never met a stranger, and found good in everyone he met. He had the ability to make everyone feel special and was devoted to his family and business. Ed loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved having a big family and never missed a chance to spend time with them. He was well loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Gleich) Salser. Ed will be missed by his loving children, Tom (Annette), Mark (Wanda), Kris Salser (Chuck Kikta), and Kathleen (Mark) Powell; 10 grandchildren, Natalie (Jeff) Salser-Mach, Katie Kikta, Megan Salser, Andrew Kikta, Rebekah Salser, Emily Salser, Elliott Salser, Ally Powell, Alex Salser, and Jack Powell; great-grandson, Gavin, and twin great-grandsons on the way. Ed will also be greatly missed by his fiancée, Jeri Milstead and her loving family.
Family will receive Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel located on the grounds of St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High St., Lockbourne, Fr. Daniel Ochs, Celebrant.
