

Eleanor Jinks, age 90, from Laurelville, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at Berger Hospital. She was born in Hocking County on January 31, 1919, to the late Jacob and Fannie Wynkoop. Eleanor enjoyed gardening flowers and vegetables, and she was a very good seamstress, making most of her clothes. She was a good cook, and she enjoyed watching television and reading books. She was a very hard worker, and she did anything she could to help support her family. She is survived by her sons, Herbert “Buck” (Elsie) Rizer, and James “Melvin” Rizer; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Rizer; brother, Joe Wynkoop; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and wonderful neighbors and friends, Joyce and Jerry Poling, Roger and Linda Van Fossen, Janet and Tim Archer, David and Hazel Wock, and Eva Horn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Jinks; infant daughter, Ruth Ann Rizer; son, Robert W. Rizer; brothers, Berman, Earl, and Clyde Wynkoop; sisters, Blanche, Ada, and Elsie; three infant granddaughters; and six step children. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at DEFENBAUGH-WISE-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, 151 East Main St., Circleville. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Roy Maples officiating. Interment will follow at Green Summit Cemetery.
