Elizabeth "Betty" Vallone, of Columbus, age 102, passed away at Kobacker House on Friday, October 15, 2021. Betty was born on November 6, 1918 and was just 3 weeks shy of reaching 103 years old. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Michael and dear son, Frank. Betty was married to Michael and raised three children. She is survived by son, Michael R. Vallone and daughter, Barbara Vallone. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Tonya (Randy) Owen, Mike J. Vallone and Steve Vallone; great grandchildren Lindsay and Ross Owen. It was only within the past year that she began to decline. She was amazing when it came to her memory putting the rest of us to shame. At 101 years young she could still hold her own. Betty loved to entertain in her earlier years and there was no one who could surpass her in her cooking and baking. She was a natural at it and loved to do it. Anyone who ever stopped by the house was encouraged to eat. You could always rely on fresh baked goods, everything made from scratch. Betty had been a member of St. Cecilia for many years. She thoroughly enjoyed flower gardening which was a passion of hers for years. She had also been involved in Twig of Children's Hospital, LV Women's Club, numerous Bridge, Euchre, and Poker clubs into her 80 and 90s. Our home was always open to all our friends growing up and she will be sadly missed by all. A special thanks to grandson, Steve for his loving caregiving over the last few years. Due to covid restrictions, a private family service will be held at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST.
