

Elizabeth A. (Betty) Cantwell, age 91, formally of Detroit and Upper Arlington, passed away peacefully in Voorhees, New Jersey on March 21, 2016. Betty was born on November 16, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John and Catherine (Scanlon) Cummings. She is preceded in death by beloved husband, Daniel Cantwell in 2012; and brothers, Jack, Joe and Harry Cummings and their spouses. She is survived by loving daughter, Colleen (John) Zoltowski; grandchildren, Matt, Johnny and Brendan; and several nieces and nephews. Dan and Betty married in 1946 and moved to Columbus, Ohio, where they were original and active member of St. Andrew's Parish. They loved to travel with friends and many countless trips to New Jersey to visit Colleen and her family, and where they became a welcome part of the large Zoltowski clan. Betty adored and was so proud of her grandchildren. Betty belonged to many card clubs, volunteered, bowled, and golfed as frequently as possible. She was known to all as a sweet, always smiling lady. She truly was a most unselfish soul. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 5-8pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221; where funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 10:00am.
