Elizabeth Humphreys Cartwright

Elizabeth Humphreys Cartwright, born on July 2, 1939, in Urbana, Ohio, passed away on August 26, 2026. She grew up in Urbana, went to Briarcliff College in New York in 1957, and graduated from The Ohio State University in 1961.

She married Stephen Cartwright on December 27, 1960. They had three daughters: Missey, CeCe, and Alex.

She became a member of St. Alban’s in 1961, and loved the Rector Robert Leake and the members of the parish. She taught Sunday School for five years. Elizabeth also drove for the American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the Bexley Library Board. Elizabeth was a kind person and liked everyone she met.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth’s memory to the Mid-Ohio Food Collective or the American Red Cross of Central Ohio.

A memorial service will be held at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 333 S Drexel Ave, Columbus, OH 43209, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 11AM.
