Elizabeth Gill Kurtz

Elizabeth Gill Kurtz died November 23, 2014, at the age of 100. Born in Marshall, Virginia, on August 12, 1914, to James Ashton Gill of Stafford County, Virginia, and Blodwyn Elizabeth Jones Gill of Granville, Ohio. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jewett Kurtz, Jr. Survived by son Charles Jewett Kurtz III (Linda), daughter Elizabeth Kurtz Argo (James); granddaughter Catherine Kurtz Vrenna (Sean); grandson Charles Lindley Kurtz II (Deborah); great-grandchildren Margaret and Charlotte; sister-in-law Virginia Kurtz Ebinger; and many nieces and nephews. Member of the Columbus Country Club, the Columbus Junior League, the Mary Ritter Garden Club, Children’s Hospital Twig, Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, and Daughters of Dixie. Graduated from Columbus School for Girls and The Ohio State University. Funeral service at 10.30 a.m. Friday, November 28, 2014, at St. Albans Episcopal Church, 333 South Drexel Ave. Bexley, OH 43209 with visitation for one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Columbus School for Girls, 56 South Columbia Avenue, Bexley OH 43209, and/or St. Albans Episcopal Church. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
