

Elizabeth Ann "Lisa" Cassell, age 55 of Upper Arlington, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016. Elizabeth was born and raised in Columbus, daughter of the late James Lore and Nancy (Fred) Bailey. Lisa graduated from Waverly High School, Class of 1978 and following went on to attend nursing school. She worked as a nurse throughout her career working mostly with Alzheimer's patients and their families. Lisa had a true gift of healing. She was unbelievably caring and had a great sense of humor. She was a large supporter of the Upper Arlington Civic Association and a volunteer with the Central Ohio Folk Music Association. One of Lisa's great passions, in addition to her family, was her tireless dedication towards the Kappa Kidney Kamp; a camp dedicated to children with kidney disease. Lisa also enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and spending time with God's creatures. She was known for going out of her way to care for any stray, hurt or injured animal that crossed her path. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 33 years, Stephen Cassell; children, Heather Cassell, Christa (Andrew) Kiger, Stephen Michael Cassell, and Anna (Jesse) Vroman; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Debbie Lore, Brad (Anh) Lore, Jeannette (Tim) Hill, Susie (Bill) Bollin, and David (Patte) Cline; faithful companion, Boomer; and many other extended family members and dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 7 P.M. Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until time of service Tuesday.
