Elizabeth Turner

Elizabeth "Betty" Chambers Turner, age 89, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 27, 2015 at home surrounded by family. Betty retired from F&R Lazarus (downtown) and was a long-time member of Westgate United Methodist Church. She loved reading, traveling and a fun day at the Casino. She was born October 14, 1925 in David City, Nebraska to the late John and Edna (Miller) Chambers; also preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Turner; daughter Lynn Hill; son-in-law Larry Vance; siblings Don, Dan, David, Ella, Vivian and Jo. She is survived by her daughters, Lee Vance (Chuck), Terre (Mike) Turner-McCoy, Betsy (Mark) DeLong; son Michael (Jan) Turner; sister Irma (Roscoe) Goddard; grandchildren, Lori (Randy) Bennett, Larry (Misty) Vance, Rob (Laura) Vance, Tom (Debbie) Wuertz, Lisa Tennyson, Melissa (Jeff) Salyards, Eric (Lisa) Sheets, Paul DeLong, Matt (Marcella) DeLong, Amy (Dan) Cherry, Chelsea (Sean) Turner, Michael Turner; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and one due in September; extended family and friends. Family will welcome friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday, March 30, 2015 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204 where service will be held at 10am Tuesday; interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery; Pastor Tim Boyd officiating.
