Eloise Souder

Eloise Souder, age 95 of Gahanna, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Eloise was born and raised in Columbus, daughter of the late Glen and Muriel Calendine. Also preceded in death by her husband, Harold; children, Beverly Sweeney and Dennis Souder; and 2 siblings. Eloise retied from Gahanna Jefferson Schools where she worked as a guidance secretary. Eloise had a great sense of humor and a positive attitude. She was strong, nurturing, and loving. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the Red Hat Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing dominos, trips to the casino, watching sports, and eating anything with salt on it. She will be greatly missed by her daughter-in-law, Tonia (Jeff) Ralph; grandchildren, Timothy (Nancy) Wood, Molly (Tim) Raup, Jason (Sarah) Souder, Matt (Erin) Souder, and Todd (Amber) Souder; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gahanna-Jefferson Education Foundation, 160 South Hamilton Rd., Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
