

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (in Mathematics) from the University of Bucharest in 1966, taught high school mathematics in Bucharest and was an inspector in the Ministry of Education.
In 1981, Elvira began her life in the United States. She obtained a Master of Science (in Applied Mathematics) from The Ohio State University and went on to continue her mathematics teaching career in 1984 at Grove City High School. Elvira truly enjoyed teaching, always finding ways to make math fun, and was adored by many of her students. She earned four teaching awards, including Math High School Teacher of the Year (1988) before retiring in 1996. Elvira had a charismatic personality, was cheerful, intelligent, and truly beautiful inside and out. She was an avid reader and also loved watching movies, collecting art, and gardening. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 55 years, Henri Moscovici; daughter, Claudia Moscovici (William Daniel Troyka); grandchildren, Sophie and Alex Moscovici-Troyka; brother, Ioan Buzulica; and many other extended family members, former students, friends and neighbors. Due to the current health conditions, private family services have been held. Arrangements were entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST.
