Emory Wells Phillips, age 52, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at The James Cancer Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Emory was born November 7, 1963 to Harold and Nancy (Smith) Phillips in Columbus, Ohio. He was a dedicated truck driver with Elite Express for numerous years. Emory always loved fishing, especially taking his daughter, Ashley every weekend when she was younger. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Phillips, Sr. and brother, Harold Phillips, Jr. Surviving are his loving wife, Cherish Phillips; daughter, Ashley (Dan) Fraley; grandson, Bradley Motter; mother, Nancy Phillips; sisters, Cindy (Bryan) Wesney and Alisha Phillips; step-children, Saicy and Jillian Teomera; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces; great nephews; and numerous friends. Family will receive friends Monday, June 20, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where his funeral will take place at 1 p.m.
