Eric is survived by loving wife, Kathleen Edwards, daughter, Erica Edwards, step daughter, Kearston Dubenion, father, Andrew (Joyce) Edwards, mother, Charolotte Rispress, brother, Mike (Traci) Edwards, sisters; Shelia (Keith) Robinson, Andrea Edwards, and Alysia Pollard, grandchildren; Greyson Byers, Soloman Featherstone, Samir Featherstone, Sunny Beasley and Estelle Lawrence, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, along with many other dear family and friends.

Eric was born in Columbus, Ohio, and spent most of his life in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree and quickly began his professional career. Known for his strong work ethic, Eric dedicated 33 years to Ford Motor Company as an IT Supervisor, while also running his own lawn care business. Above all, Eric cherished his family, and time spent with them was what he valued most. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and proudly achieved a hole-in-one at a tournament golf course. He also found joy in gardening, bowling, karaoke, and occasionally trying his luck with a bit of gambling. He loved watching the Discovery channel, Ancient Aliens and Shark Week. He appreciated life’s simple pleasures, including good whiskey and cigars. Eric will be remembered as an extraordinary husband, father, brother, and friend. His light touched so many lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family will be having a Celebration of Life, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 1PM-3PM, at SCHOEDINGER EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5360 E. Livingston Ave.
